Goodwill Services of Northwest Michigan is, by far and away, the most comprehensive social service agency in its seven county service region. In 2000, it commissioned Monaghan Associates to conduct a feasibility study to test a multi-faceted project. Following the advice of Monaghan Associates, Goodwill put aside its campaign in favor of a deliberate process of prioritizing and awareness building. Four years later - in 2005, Goodwill had completed its work and again with the help of Monaghan Associates, launched a $4.3 million campaign focused on replacing its aged (former model) Goodwill Inn, which provided housing and developmental services to the region's homeless.
Today, with the $4.3 million goal surpassed and construction underway, Goodwill Services and the entire Traverse City area looks forward to a beautiful new facility with separate service - oriented wings for men, women, families, and teenage youth as they move from "Homeless to Wholeness."
