Campaign Services

To meet the challenge of raising support through an intensive fund raising initiative, Monaghan Associates, Inc. will assist clients in the creation and implementation of an advancement plan under the direction of a Project Director in the following areas:

  • Analyze the potential for  private sector support and establish realistic fund raising objectives that are consistent with the pre-solicitation analysis.
  • Determine the development program and fund raising priorities that are consistent with current and long-range goals of the non-profit organization.
  • Evaluate any current and historical development strategies and specific fund raising efforts.
  • Establish realistic fund raising goals and timetables.
  • Determine the specific roles/responsibilities in this development process for the executive director, board members, volunteers and support staff, development counsel, and key community leaders.
  • Assist in the creation of a volunteer campaign cabinet to assume the responsibilities for this private sector initiative.
  • Focus the role of this specific development plan within other critical activities.
  • Finalize the case for private sector support.
  • Prepare a campaign budget to support the approved solicitation strategies and timetables.
  • Prepare a marketing strategy to support pre-solicitation requirements and subsequent campaign needs.
  • Coordinate the preparation of necessary campaign literature.
  • Construct a workable campaign plan that is consistent with staff, budget and volunteer restrictions.
  • Define roles/responsibilities for staff involvement in the campaign.
  • Assist in the training of appropriate “volunteers” to aid in the solicitation of private funds.
  • Complete (with key personnel) the identification/evaluation sessions of individuals, corporate and foundation prospects.
  • Draft (for leadership approval) proposals and letters of solicitation (foundations, corporations, etc.).
  • Accompany (if necessary) the leadership and key staff on critical solicitation visits.
  • Provide “quarterbacking” of staff and volunteers to complete their assigned duties.
  • Merge the required records management system and any in-house computer assistance into a campaign report system and follow-up atmosphere.
  • Prepare and coordinate necessary follow-up strategies to meet the campaign objectives.
  • Other campaign related duties as necessary.
